Sandi McKinney has worked within the field of education for over 15 years. Throughout her tenure, Sandi has held multiple roles within both the K-12 and higher education settings. Each role has allowed Sandi the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded educator, respected throughout the field of education.
Sandi earned her M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland and is a Nationally Certified Counselor. Passionately committed to lifelong learning, Sandi is constantly in pursuit of ways to further her knowledge and education. In addition to conference participation, actively visiting college campuses across the United States, and completing various professional development activities, Sandi is always seeking new ways to further her education. Currently, she is working to complete courses to become a certified provider of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventories so as to provide valuable, data driven direction for the clients with whom she works.
Sandi's college counseling philosophy consists of a process focused, client-centered approach. Meeting each student where they are and subsequently guiding them throughout the collegiate application, admission, and decision making process is something that Sandi believes to be an individualized process, requiring a customized approach tailored to meet the needs of each client.
At Educational Pathways, we believe in the value of guiding each client to find the college that will best fit their individual goals. Our client centered approach provides each family with the current, continuous, and collaborative support needed while navigating through the college admissions process. Ultimately, our goal is to guide students toward self-discovery, build confidence in their final college choice decision, and to continue down a path to collegiate, personal, and professional success.
Mission Statement: Educational Pathways mission is to guide each student, confidently, along the path from where they currently are to where they want to be.
